Mar 2001:- Receives recognition as a songwriter by the International Songwriter's Association and is included on the Songwriter page at www.songwriter.co.uk alongside such song writing legends as Paul McCartney, Jimi Hendrix and John Lennon. Songwriter name - Jeff Payne.

Creates the alias The Purple Healer due to overwhelming feedback from the website, that he should establish himself as an artist in his own right.
Jan 2001:- Launches the website www.purplehealer.com to as a vehicle to help promote songs to publishers, record companies and established artists. MP3's are made available for streaming over the Internet.
Aug 2000:- Becomes a full time songwriter.
1995-2000:- Builds up a project recording studio.
1996:- Becomes a member of the International Songwriters Association.

The BBC releases the compilation tape "Bear Tracks" to raise money for Children in Need. This includes a version of "Family Tree" performed by the band "Sundogs".
