25/05/01:- “Woman” is featured on the Windows Media Guide for a week from Fri 25th May. This is available from directly inside the Windows Media Player to all users in the UK. View screen grab

24/04/01:- Woman” is featured on MP3TV placed at #2 for downloads across the whole of the Internet            View Video.

23/04/04:- “Fire & Ice” makes the uksounds #1.

22/04/04:- “Woman” gets radio airplay at BBC Radio Devon on the Late Show with Chris Robinson.

04/04/01:- “Fire & Ice” makes the uksounds Top 10.

03/04/01:- “Woman” makes the uksounds Number One!! and stays in the top spot for two weeks.

24/03/01:- “Woman” makes the uksounds.com Top 10.

Mar 2001:- Receives recognition as a songwriter by the International Songwriter's Association and is included on the Songwriter page at www.songwriter.co.uk alongside such song writing legends as Paul McCartney, Jimi Hendrix and John Lennon. Songwriter name - Jeff Payne.

Feb 2001:- Creates the alias The Purple Healer due to overwhelming feedback from the website, that he should establish himself as an artist in his own right.

Jan 2001:- Launches the website www.purplehealer.com to as a vehicle to help promote songs to publishers, record companies and established artists. MP3's are made available for streaming over the Internet.

Aug 2000:- Becomes a full time songwriter.

1995-2000:- Builds up a project recording studio.

1996:- Becomes a member of the International Songwriters Association.

1995:- The BBC releases the compilation tape "Bear Tracks" to raise money for Children in Need. This includes a version of "Family Tree" performed by the band "Sundogs".

The Purple Healer was born in Plymouth, England. D.O.B 1972. Name Jeff Payne.

First Played in pubs with cover bands Slingshot (1990) & Seven Sisters (1992).

Played larger venues with original band Sundogs (1995). Independently released 4 track EP called Escape. The single Family Tree, written by Jeff was released by the BBC for the Children in Need tape Bear Tracks. 4 tracks were also demoed but never released.

Present day (2001) is fronting and writing songs with band The Haze. No releases to date.

All throughout this time Jeff has continued to write songs. These have never been recorded due to full time work. He has now taken time out of work and become a full time, professional Singer & Songwriter to record as many of these songs as possible. These will be released via the Internet under the alias, The Purple Healer.
